Motor rehabilitation, as a movement therapy (kinesiotherapy), aims to restore the normal muscular, myofascial, and articular coordination function of the movement of one or more limbs and, consequently, of the entire body. It is carried out, in general, initially in a passive manner and then in an active one. It is essential in the case of orthopaedic surgery, both as a pre-op preparation and as a rehabilitation. It is also crucial in the treatment of neuromotorial diseases. Beyond therapeutic purposes, motor rehabilitation is rightly developing an increasingly important role in prevention and sports.
