TRANSCRANIAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION (tDCS)

tDCS, born in Italy and now used worldwide, is an easily applied technique with which you can stimulate different parts of the brain in a non-invasive, effective, painless way and without significant side effects. Although it is a “new” technique, many studies indicate it as a possible valuable tool for the treatment of neuropsychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s dementia, chronic pain, addictions, and rehabilitation after stroke or trauma.

It is important to note that tDCS is seen as an extremely promising technique but at the same time it is easy to use and free from side effects when used according to the guidelines (Rossi et al. 2009).
